add rows to menu in posts?

english is not my native language, but I don’t know what it’s called in my language either.

When you write a new post you can click on link or some other option in the row above where you write to use in your text.

I need more rows there, but whatever I click on I can’t find anything. I’m probably just being a noob again. The menu row is just disappearing outside the screen and my text is going the same direction. Shouldn’t it add rows there on it’s own? I have tried to move the boxes there around, dragging the arrow to adjust the box. It just won’t move so I can see what I write.
