Support » Theme: CoverNews » add pagination to posts grid on homepage

  • hey

    some weeks ago I purchased this theme and I tried to get some help from af themes support on how to add pagination to the posts grid section on my homepage but they told me I should hire expert wordpress developer.
    I hope I might get some help here.

    On my front page I have the posts grid section below the main banner section directly under the featured posts section..
    Now I would like to add pagination to the posts grid section just like I did on my blog page like this:

    https://www.upload.ee/image/9834319/pagination.jpg

    to customize it I used following CSS:

    .covernews-pagination {
    text-align: center;
    }
    .covernews-pagination .page-numbers.current {
    background: #0055A0;
    color: #fff;
    border-color: #0055A0;
    }
    .covernews-pagination .page-numbers {
    padding: 5px 8px;
    border: 1px solid;
    border-color: #404040;
    line-height: 1.3;
    color: #404040;
    display: inline-block;
    float: left;
    margin: 0 3px;
    transition: all .2s ease;
    }
    .covernews-pagination .page-numbers:hover {
    background: #0055A0;
    color: #fff;
    border-color: #0055A0;
    }

    Please how can I add this kind of pagination to my grid post section on the front page? if anyone can help me it would be very much appreciated!

    best wishes

    Hey, @karlmann

    To add the pagination in your front page goto settings -> Reading -> and change the count of Blog pages show at most.

    For example : Example

    So, if you have added 10 blogs in your website and you add the ‘Blog pages show at most’ to 6 then it will display 6 blogs and for the remaining blogs, it will add the pagination automatically. For example : https://prnt.sc/ncngyx.

    Let me know if that helps you.
    Thank you.

    hey @snehalb890

    thank you so much for the reply but this is not what Im aiming at. I added already pagination to my blog page. that one is fine.

    now I want to add pagination to the posts grid section on my static homepage.
    for the posts grid there is no pagination at all right now so I somehow need to add it first.
    this can not be done in the settings so im badly searching help for this.

    thanks though!

    Can you tell me if you’ve done what you’ve done? It’s been very helpful. I want to change the words “next” and “previous” How can I do that?
    I’m sorry if it’s not clear, I use a translator

    Theme Author AF themes

    (@afthemes)

    Hello @alexsamusevich,
    As the theme strings are translation ready,

    __('<span class="em-post-navigation">Previous</span> %title', 'covernews')
    __('<span class="em-post-navigation">Next</span> %title', 'covernews')

    You can simply change the texts using any third party translation tools like, POEdit, Loco Translate Plugin. Would you please confirm that?

    Best regards
