    hello everyone,
    this could be a bit of a stupid question. I want to add pagination to my blog, however I'm not talking about individual post pagination, but about when main page shows certain number of post there is pagination for other sets of blog post. so far i mostly found pagination instructions for posts themselves but i want to add it to places like archive and main index.

    Have you tried:

    <div class="navigation">
    	<div class="alignleft"><?php next_posts_link('&laquo; Older Entries') ?></div>
    	<div class="alignright"><?php previous_posts_link('Newer Entries &raquo;') ?></div>

    right after "endwhile" in the Loop?
    This code will paginate sets of posts.

    Yes indeed it does. What exactly do you mean by "pagination" then?

    Doesn't look like it has been updated in a while, but you may want to try this plugin: http://www.mis-algoritmos.com/2007/09/09/wp-digg-style-pagination-plugin-v-10/

    Note: may not be compatible with 2.5+
