Support » Plugin: Redirection » Add option for automatically handling optional trailing slashes

Right now we have to create regex rules, i.e. /old-url/?$ for redirects to work with or without a trailing slash. I suggest having the option for this to be handled automatically.

Thanks for the reply, but Issue #166 seems to be completely unrelated.

I found Issue #176 though which does indeed talk about trailing slashes but a solution is not being addressed at all.

After looking at issue #166 again, I’m inferring that the author is implying that since it is possible to get the functionality using regex, it’s not worth the time and effort to overload the plugin with options for optional trailing slashes or case insensitive.

However, it would be helpful to add the regex for how to do these commonly-needed functions in the documentation.

I was only mis-copy-pasting, not implying. Issues are open for both trailing slashes and case sensitivity, and will be looked at ‘soon’.
