i’m trying out this plugin with the official woocommerce product add-ons plugin.
i’ve got variable products, and product add-ons configured.
in a single product page, both the variable products options, and the add-ons options are displayed ok, and are selectable.
in the menu block using the [foodstore] shortcode, when clicking on the menu item title, or on the add+ button the drop-down pop-up appears. if the product is a variable product, it again displays the options ok, and they are selectable.
if the product has add-ons available, (same product and add-ons that works in the single product page), none of these add-on options show up in the pop-up add to basket window. why?

i can’t provide a link to the page for you to view the issue, it’s only on my local pc for development at the moment.

    Hello,

Thank you for trying out the plugin. Sorry for the inconveniences, but the support for WooCommerce Product Addon is not yet available as original plan was to use the addons available with Food Store plugin.

You might want to check Addons of Food Store here, http://food-store.wpscripts.in/knowledge-base/setting-up-add-ons-for-your-food-items/

But as you are not first to ask for this, and other persons also asked for it, so we might rethink to add support for WooCommerce Product Addon. We will plan it and will see if we can release it on next version which is planned for this weekend, if not it will be released soon.

    Thanks & Regards,

Will the support of Woocommerce Product Addon mean that a drop down choice will be available? I have so many addons that the popup add to cart window would be extremely long with radio button choices, especially as they only appear in single column. Thank you.

Yes, it would be exactly like that, I mean the popup will be really long if you have that much amount of addons.

Its not only dropdowns, once the support is added, it will show any kind of field that you add using WC Product Addons plugin.

    Thanks & Regards,

ok, i’ve de-activated and deleted the woocommerce product add-ons plugin, and followed the instructions in your link to create the parent and child add-ons, and that’s all working in the pop-up now, but now it doesn’t show the add-on in the normal wordpress single product page.
is there something i’m missing here? or do i also have to use the woocommerce product add-on’s plugin to see them on that page as well?

    Hello,

Add-ons you are getting with Food Store plugin are only intended for Food Store use, that means it will only come where the shortcode has been placed.

If you want in Single pages you have to use the WooCommerce Product Addons as earlier. But are you intending to sell your food items at both places with same product addons attached to them ?

    Thanks & Regards

But are you intending to sell your food items at both places with same product addons attached to them ?

at the moment, there is no intention to actually link directly to the default wordpress shop page itself, mostly use the food-store menu.
but when viewing the basket, the food items are shown as links to that items single product page, which also has the ‘add to cart’ button. so since they would be able to access the single product page anyway, it makes sense for it to include any add-ons on that page as well. plus we may use the single product page to include more details for it, eg full ingredient list, gallery of images, reviews, related products etc.
so it would be nice if add-ons didn’t have to be configured in two different places, full support for the woocommerce add-ons plugin would resolve all that, plus i don’t know if using both the food-store add-ons and the woocommerce add-ons will cause any discrepancies with eg, id’s/sku’s, stock, etc, i’ve not had time to test with both used simultaneously yet.

if you can add support for the woocommerce product add-ons in a release this weekend that would be ideal from my point of view. 😉

    Hello

I agree. Clicking on the Item will definitely take the user to Single page. But food store addons are strictly for Food Store page. Only solution we see here is adding the Woocommerce Product Addon support to Food Store.

We are also checking, how this can be done. We’ll update you once we find any way.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hello @nhybgtvfr @saliw ,

For certain functionality limitation we are unable to give support of WooCommerce Product Addons. So for now you have to use addons given by Food Store plugin in order to continue using it.

We are still looking for alternate solutions to make it possible asap.

    Sorry for the inconviniences.

    Thanks & Regards,
