Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » Add o'clock to time notation

  • Resolved Monique23

    Hi there,

We are using The Events Calendar and like it very much.

My client wants to present the time of an event ending with ‘uur’ (which is Dutch for o’clock), so ’10:00 tot en met 13:00 uur‘ (which is ’10:00 until 13:00 o’clock).

In the plugin we can change the date time seperator and the time seperator, but nothing is available to enter an ending option.

How can we add ‘uur’ at the end of a time? And in such a way that it doesn’t mean we have to change the core files (with every update of the plugin)?

    Thanks & best regards,

    Hey Monique23,

That could be done with a little customization.

I recommend reading through these 2 articles in our knowledge base, they should help you get started.

I think you will need to customize this file:

    Hey Andras,

That looks very useful and promising. I believe I can get that to work somehow. I am not a programmer, so maybe I’ll have more questions about this lateron.

Can you tell me just for my interest: these additions, are they included in the PRO version maybe?

    Hi Monique,

Template customizations as detailed in our Themer’s Guide are supported with all versions of our plugins (both free and premium), so you shouldn’t need to purchase Events Calendar PRO in order to apply these changes. However, should you decide to upgrade at any point in the future, you’ll have access to a number of additional features and templates for customizing–feel free to choose the version that’s the best fit for your project needs! 🙂

Thanks, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

    Hi there,

Thanks very much for your help and advise. With the articles in the knowledge base I was able to add the requested words (‘uur’ and ‘incl. BTW’) into the meta.

One thing is not yet solved, which is the events schudule below the title. I thought this info was taken form the meta as well, but obviously the theme builder (Enfold) created their own single-event.php, so I’ve asked Enfold Support for that.

    Thanks & regards,
