Add new field checkbox not displaying | WordPress.org

Hi I am trying to create an opt-in option for email communications to comply with GDPR laws so have tried to create an option to check the box if members would like to sign up to the mailing list however I have been able to add the new field but it is not displaying on the form even though I have checked the display option, can you help please?

Make sure that you are completing the “stored value when checked” (which is what will be saved if the field is checked). That is required for the field to be created.

Also make sure that if you are using a cache plugin, that you have cleared the cache – it’s likely that the displayed form is cached, so adding a new field requires you to clear the cache.
