    WordPress pattern section has a new category called ‘Testimonials’ and it isn’t available in Pattern Manager.
    It would be great if you could add it and also give the ability to create custom pattern categories in future versions.

    Hi @khangood,

    Thanks for letting us know about that.

    When you go to

    /wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=pm_pattern

    …can you select ‘Testimonals’ from ‘Pattern Categories’?

    If not, what version of WordPress Core is your machine running?

    Can I add to this?
    The ‘Testimonials’ category is working for me.
    But the ‘Buttons’, ‘Columns’ and ‘Contact’ categories are not.

    Plus, indeed would be ideal if custom categories can be added.

    Yes, ‘testimonials’ section is there but buttons and gallery is missing in the pattern manager section. I’m talking about this area:

    wp-admin/admin.php?page=pattern-manager

    @khangood @onstudio,

    Custom category creation within Pattern Manager is now live. By updating with the release that went out today, you will be able to add new pattern categories by simply typing them in the category dropdown selector and hitting the enter key.

    But I have a question to ask, what if someone wants to remove a pattern category? Or You can easily misspell a category name there is no option to rename or delete categories.

    Hi @khangood,

    If you delete the category, and there’s no other pattern that uses that category, it should be deleted:
