Add Media Not Working

Hello, it’s my first time to post a problem here. I usually just read about things, and get a fix from there, but this one has got me frustrated for hours now.

First off, my blog site is hosted by WordPress – url is http://www.jakeena.com. I had my friend help me set it up, and after that, it’s just been me updating the site with posts which was easy enough up until today when I click on ‘Add Media’ on a post and nothing happens.

Did these steps:

– Deactivated all plug-ins
– Cleared my browser cache (Google Chrome), tried also on Safari

Anything else I can do? And kindly instruct in layman’s terms as I seriously get lost with tech / code instructions.

Help help! I do need to update my blog site soon.

Read the troubleshooting 3.5 master list to see if your problem is listed there: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-35-master-list

try:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

This is probably a javascript error. Try to see what errors show up : http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors

Done.

– deactivated all plugins
– switching to default theme

Still same problem.

I read up on the link you sent which pertains to a Javascript error.

Did Step 1 – problem still persist.
Did Step 3 – below is the reported error when I click ‘Add Media’

I skipped Step 2 as I didn’t understand it, don’t know where to find it, and don’t know how to ‘Enable Script Debug.’

Jakeena,

Was your problem ever resolved? I have a brand new shiny wp site, and the ‘Add Media’ button let me upload one photograph, then broke.

I have deleted all themes (except the default ones).

I’ve deleted + deactivated all plugins.

And STILL! Add Media-does-not-work.

Error:
