"add media" button not working – links not working

    Hello,

    I am using WordPress 4.1 running Velvet theme.

    For the last few weeks I have had trouble with the back office;
    the “add media” button doesn’t work anymore, I also wasn’t able to create a link embedded in a word when writing a text.

    Any idea why this is happening?…

    Hi

    Possibly a javascript error stoping the media box from firing up?

    Could be a plugin causing the issues? Have you tried looking the browser console? (Depending on your browser and OS – right click on the browser window and hit inspect element. This will bring up a code window with a tab titled console. This will display any javascript errors)

    I think understanding javascript errors is a little beyond my technical abilities…
    About the browser though, we had these issues wether on safari, firefox and chrome…

    I’ve updated some plugins recently, do you think that could be the cause of the pb?

    I have 6 of them, how do I know which one is causing the pb?…

    If your plugins effect the admin section then maybe,

    What plugins do you have installed?

    I have the following ones:

    Akismet
    All in one favicon
    Google analytics
    Jetpack
    Widget Logic
    Wordpress Importer
    WPML Multilingual CMS

    I don’t think these affect the admin section, what do you think?…

    I’m having this exact same issues, also with Velvet theme. Have tried deactivating my plugins, but that didn’t fix the problem. Any possible solution to this?
