Hello, I have just updated to WordPress 5.0.3 and updated the plugin to 3.3.1. I now notice that the “Add Media” button above the visual editor has disappeared from the Under Construction > Content page. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi,
Unfortunately, that option is no longer available. Images can no longer be added to the content.

Thanks for the update. Can I ask why?

    You sure can 🙂

The feature to add images to content was never planned, it was left there because it’s a part of the visual editor. We didn’t think it’d be a problem. However, more and more people started sending support tickets complaining that pages look bad when they add images because they can’t customize certain things and it messes up our templates. They we’re right, it does. It’s because the premise of UCP is zero configuration; no color pickers, no dozens of options … we go for simplicity and premade templates. So we removed that option.

But we don’t mind people using that 🙂 as long as they understand what’s going on. So, if you can open the inspector and remove this CSS rule #ucp_content #wp-content-media-buttons { display: none; } you’ll get the insert image button back.
