Add Media Button does not work in WP 3.5 – Fixed with Jquery command

  • Hi, I have 0 knowledge of coding and things like that, but I use this theme because I like the way it looks, and it’s always done what I needed it to do.

    After updating to WP 3.5, trying to “Add Media” to my posts does nothing…and I’m sure there are some other problems related to javascript that I havn’t found yet.

    Anyway, I went into my cpanel and found wp-config.php and hit edit code and typed in

    define(‘SCRIPT_DEBUG’, true);

    then, I went to my test website which basically mirrors my real site, and the add media button finally worked.

    So, I have no idea if that would help the developer make changes. I have NOT upgraded to Custom Community 1.10 because I heard there are still problems with the Jquery, and I’m scared to lose everything I’ve already done.

    So…can I get by for the time being to include that script debug thing?

    EDIT: Just found another solution with 1 line fix.

    WordPress Fix – Add Media Button Not Working

    you use define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false ); instead of the one above.

    What’s the difference? Which one is the better fix?
