    Hi,

I am using the lite version of Maps Marker since a year and it is working perfectly.

Now I am constructing the same site in English on a differnt Domain and I implemented Maps Marker as well. Already without having made any changes within the plugin I do not get any proposals by Google when I fill in a location or an address when I try to add a layer.
Also there is no reaction if I fill in coordinates.

I deactivated all other plugins- without any success.

I work on WP 3.9. with the latest version of the Enfold WP-Theme.

Any idea, what could be the reason?

    Thanks for your help,
    Harald

    Hi Robert,
meanwhile I get the impression that it might be a Google related problem. I transfer the data with copy-paste from the old website to the new one. And in the ‘Location’-form of the old one it says (grayish) “Geben Sie einen Standort an”. Here everything works perfectly. In the new one the form is empty, but once or twice the writing showed up and than everything worked.
Another interesting phenomenon is, that on the new website the layer based on Google Maps (Gelaende) stays empty after saving the layer. But it works f.e. with Open Street Map.
The whole thing is a bit strange, but this all seems to point on Google even having old and new site on different Tabs of the same Browser (working with another browser does not solve the problem). So if you don’t have another idea I’ll just wait and look again tomorrow.
Thank you for your fast reaction.

    Hi Harald,
I am pretty sure that this is not a Google issue but rather a javascript issue. Am I right that this issue only occurs on layer edit pages and not on marker edit pages? If yes, there might be something wrong when loading the GeoJSON-feed for layer maps – so please as said before: open the browsers console when editing a layermap (use f12 for that on firefox or f11 with chrome) and post any additional info/warning or error messages. I am pretty sure, that we find the real issue there…
    best,
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
It’s on both sides: layer edit pages AND marker edit pages. Console on Chrome tells me the following warnings:

I am not familiar with those things to much, but maybe it tells you the whole store 😉

Thanks a lot for your engagement,

not exactly what I was expecting – anyway if this javascripts breaks, it could also break the javascript for google places used in my plugin. You could identify where these javascript is coming from (e.g. from a certain plugin) and try to disable it to see if there is any difference…disabling all other plugins to verify if there is a plugin conflict is always a good thing on identifying issues…

Deactivating all plugins was the first thing I did. No help at all. I’ll try it again tomorrow and I come back to you afterwards.

    Thanks so far,

I would need temporary admin access to be able to have a look at the issue by myself…if that is possible, please send the userdata to info(a)mapsmarker com

    Hi,
there is now a workaround for this issue – see https://www.mapsmarker.com/faqs/how-to-resolve-the-incompatibility-with-the-enfold-theme-by-kriesi-at/ for more details.
    best,
    Robert
