    Hi everyone, I have a sports news blog. and I would like to put the latest news on the sidebar, and only the important news in the middle. i don’t know how to explain it, so check this website, on the sidebar, the entries under the title : infos 24/24 .. i would like to have something similar. what is it called ? and how can i install it, i’m using the ifeature theme. i’m new to wordpress so please help me !

    You didn’t provide the link. Lol. What you are looking for almost sounds like a widget for posts.

    To me it looks like a slightly modified recent posts widget.

    Looking at the page in firebug it looks like its not a widget, as it has none of the WordPress widget classes. I’m thinking that it’s a custom hardcoded element built into the page template.

    For your site, I’d suggest either using the default WordPress Recent Posts widget in a dynamic sidebar or use this Advanced Recent Posts Widget, as it offers more control and options than the default one. It should allow you to then pull only the posts from the category or post type you want to show.

    To achieve the same layout is then just a matter of playing about with the CSS.

    I’m not really looking for the same layout. I just want something similar, since i will be posting a lot of articles, i thought the visitor will be less confused if there were all the article’ titles somewhere. and i noticed most sites use it.
