  • Is it possible to add the last update in the sitemap.xml file (the root index file)?

    Once I am inside a subfile, eg : /sitemap_post_1.xml
There is the last update of posts, but the sitemap.xml listing the subfile do not have any last update data…

I have noticed that my urls takes awhile to be indexed, and I think that it must be impacted by that lack of date

    Thanks !

Thank you for pointing this out. I’ve opened a Github issue here: https://github.com/semperfiwebdesign/all-in-one-seo-pack/issues/2123

    Hello @michael ,

I’ve noticed that the last AIOSEO update contained modifications to the sitemap, but not this one.
Any idea of when this could be fixed? Because IMO this is important in order to optimize the indexation delay of articles

    Thanks !

    Hello @hallsofmontezuma ,

I see that the github project plans this for the version 3.1
Knowing that the current version is 2.12, does that mean that this fix wont be available before 2020?

It’d definitely a big improvement in my opinion, helping to crawl the new articles faster. At the moment, some of my articles do not get indexed before at least 24h, and sometimes I dont even see them until i push manually a sitemap update via the Google Search Console. It’s pretty annoying…

The version currently in development is 3.0.
3.1 is the version after that. My best guess is April for 3.1.

Thanks for the reply, that makes more sense 🙂

Does that mean that the plugin will “soon” be available from 2.2 to 3.0 ?
