Support » Fixing WordPress » Add image rotation feature when uploaded frontend

  • Hello,

As you know, sometimes, images are not uploaded in the right position (coming from smartphones or having been moved in the PC …). When you are working in the backend, you have the ability to rotate the image in the media admin page.
But when you are uploading the image from the frontend (as it is the case when you work with custom fields), there is no way to make this rotation if needed.
I would like to add an image rotation feature to the standard WordPress frontend uploader, meaning having a button to upload the image (as it is today), but when the image is uploaded, gives the ability to rotate it before recording it).
Has somebody already worked on this and is there any existing librairies ?

    Regards
    Pat

    Hi,

WordPress does not provide a front end uploading tool, this sounds like a feature you will have to request from the developers who made the plugin you are using for this functionality.
