add image gallery without displaying inserted images | WordPress.org

This may be a dumb question, but how do I show an image gallery on one of my pages without displaying all the images that I have inserted into the page underneath the gallery?

I’m following the guide here, but all I get is the gallery at the top of the page and then all the images underneath.

How do I show just the gallery on it own?

Maybe this plugin is something for you http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/slideshow-gallery-2/

After installing you can choose at the configuration page if you want to show your thumbnails. Simply at [slideshow] at your text.

Thanks for replying. I’m intending to use the fancy box plugin for displaying my photos. But I still need to show just the gallery, and not the images on the page as well.

I am also using fancy box plugin: http://laura.drouven.nl/?p=89

You can use

a.fancybox img.attachment-thumbnail { display: none }

at you css file (I think: jquery.fancybox-1.3.1.css) of the fancy box plugin. The only problem is that there will be no image on the page so you can’t open the fancy box gallery to view the pictures.
