I would like to award points one time for certain nav menu links clicked. However, when I add the gamipress-link class to the menu item, it causes the menu link to go dead. Am I Missing something?

    Thanks!

    Hi @blaksheep

GamiPress – Link has the ability to handle clicks on any type of element that has the class gamipress-link, if your nav links stop working after add this class, probably it happens because your current theme has an extra functionality binded to this navigation links

Try to switch to a default theme to see if issue persist to confirm that issue comes from the current theme

    Hi @blaksheep

The unique way is to contact to theme authors because they are the unique that know exactly how his theme works and which functionality on nav menu enters in conflict with GamiPress – Link

    Hi @blaksheep

This issue is not about support a third party plugin, it’s about to fix a theme issue with a third party plugin

The unique recommendation I have to you is to switch to a theme that follows the WordPress standards

At this point we are beyond being able to switch theme due to the amount of development that has gone into the child theme. I really like your plugin and we have spent a LOT of time integrating it into the site. The theme author is not being much help in solving the issue, so if you have any helpful suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. We have a couple other site I would like to use your plugin on, but they are also running this theme. So, I’m in a bit of a rock and hard place. Thank You.

OK. I am getting absolutely NO help from the theme author… Is there a way I can pay for your support to help figure out a workaround? Everything on the site is working perfectly except this and we have come too far with development to start over now. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I am more than willing to pay for your time.

    Thanks!

    Hi @blaksheep

Sorry, but the unique way I see to fix this isssue is:

1 – Switching to a better supported theme
    2 – Fixing it yourself
3 – Avoid the GamiPress link functionality on nav menu and keep it just on your post content
4 – Try adding custom HTML through nav menu filters like wp_nav_menu_items filter

    Best regards
