Support » Fixing WordPress » Add Facebook Like button to RSS Feed

  • Hi there,

I added the Facebook Like button to the index.php and single.php files for the theme that I’m using on my blog.

I used the code generated from:

I just copied the generated code and plopped it in there and it works better than the plugins that I was trying.

However, when I subscribed to the feed to see if it was there it was not included in the post.

I looked over feedburner and it looks like I could do it with a feedflare but I already use add_to_any to add the social links.

Which file do I need to modify to get the like button as part of the feed?

    thanks in advance,

  • You can’t add like button to rss i guess so but you can add the default share buttons which feedburner already features free… You can go up in publicize in feedburner n activate the sharing buttons under each post….

Yea, that’s under Optimize and then FeedFlare which ask you to place code, yadda, yadda, yadda, It’s not just press activate and it does it for you.

Add-to-any does add it’s stuff to the rss feed on the fly so I guess I’ll study their code and write a plugin. It looks like an action hook to rss2-item should work. Yea, until I try it. 🙂
