Add drop down of tags to user search form

Hello,

I would like to add a drop down of event tags to the search form on events-list. I copied the code for the categories select drop down and changed:
‘name’ => ‘event-tags’,
‘taxonomy’ => ‘event-tags’,

The drop-down displays but doesn’t affect the search results. Please advise.
