I have a large number of (separate) audio files on website I am building.
I can’t be able to get a “Download” button for the visitors. There is only the link to audio file, which brings to the black page of audion file from which one is able to download. I don’t want it this way.
I have your answer to this question the following way:
Technically, whether a file is downloaded or played will depend on your browser and how you have things set up. For example, one user might have this set up to auto-download files while another user might have it set up to play. The only way to force a download would be to do so with a plugin or maybe with some .htaccess file overrides. This is not something that a theme should be doing. I’m not sure of any plugins that do this, but you might want to search around for one.
I have indeed installed a plugin which does that: mb.miniAudioPlayer.
