# Add description under title

 * It will display underneath the title, but I need to add a field on each slide
   to enter text

 * Hi, it sounds like you already added captions from the slide titles using a [custom slideshow template](http://jleuze.com/plugins/meteor-slides/customizing-the-slideshow-template/)?
 * You can extend these captions with a description by adding excerpts to the slide
   posts with this [Meteor Excerpts](https://gist.github.com/JLeuze/2725756) addon
   plugin.
 * Then you can add the excerpts to the slides by adding this to the custom slideshow
   template:
 *     ```
       <?php the_excerpt();?>
       ```
