can anyone help me with this plugin. I downloaded this plugin but now I am unable to use my site, every time I try and navigate the site I get the same error page stating ‘Add Custom Header Images requires a page titled The Headers with images and WordPress v3.4 or greater.’. How can I deactivate this plugin if I am unable to get to the plugin list?

    Thank you

That error on show on the in the dashboard, not on the public view. Please read the instructions as a page named “The Headers” is required to use this plugin. Additionally, the plugin is automatically deactivated if is condition does not exist.

Can you provide a link to your site? Why can’t you get to your plugin page?

    Closing for lack of activity.

Ok, I am having the same exact issue with the same plugin as Cloggs.
I downloaded a Custom Header WordPress Plugin and now it is stating that I need a plugin named “The Header” however I am currently unable to use my site and make applicable change to it. The message says “Add Custom Header Images requires a page titled The Headers with images and WordPress v3.4 or greater.”

@kookleboyz, I think I found a problem. An update to v1.0.2 should be forthcoming. Please let me know if it fixed the issue.

Actually, I went through my CPanel, like you advised me earlier to delete the Custom Header file in my WordPress files. I deleted the Plug-In and it worked. Yea! Thanks Andy!

@kookieboyz, does that mean the plugin is working for you or you were able to remove it?

I believe I fixed the issue that caused the error.

I am having the exact same problem. Getting this message. How did you do it again? I don’t how to get to my cpanel? Will it deactivate at one point in the future? My site is working ok, but I cannot get to the dashboard!

Add Custom Header Images requires a page titled The Headers with images and WordPress v3.4 or greater.

Leneopedersen, what version of WordPress are you on that function is defined in WordPress.

I’m changing the plugin to just deliver a notification instead of trying to deactivate.

    Sorry, stay tuned.

Thanks, I am on WP 4.1. version.

Just pushed v1.1.0 which should remove this problem completely.

    Sorry everyone.

Is it effective immediately? Because I just try to get into my dashboard, and I still get the same error message. And I am not able to return to plugin page. Can I do something?

If you can FTP into you site an delete or rename the add-custom-header-images folder.

How to Deactivate All Plugins When Not Able to Access WP-Admin

    this might help too.

Now my dashboard is working, and I managed to deactivate the plugin. Now my website doesn’t work….I don’t like WP right now.

This is the message now send when I try to open my site.

Warning: require(/home/h/i/ftp_historielanddk/wp-blog-header.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/h/i/ftp_historielanddk/index.php on line 17

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/h/i/ftp_historielanddk/wp-blog-header.php’ (include_path=’/usr/local/phpbin/PEAR/:./’) in /home/h/i/ftp_historielanddk/index.php on line 17

    But thanks anyways.

It seems that something in your core WordPress installation is fouled.

If you can get to your admin dashboard, you should try to re-install WordPress 4.1.1 from there.

Looks like the site is working from here and backend now available.
