[Resolved] Add color or image to center column

  • Hello all, I’m working on this blog for a friend of mine. I made the pages one column with no sidebars. I have a decent background for the site and added a semi transparent image as the background for the body. I was wondering if another semi transparent image can be used for the center column. I am using a child theme. The parent theme is twentyten. You can view the site here. Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light.

  • Hello again! 🙂 I’m not 100% what you mean but you want to add one more “box” to the main content? Just to make myself clear am I understanding you right add this to your child theme:

    .entry-content, .entry-summary {
    background: #000000;
    }

    is that the right area you want transparent with different colour? 🙂

    I added that value but nothing happened.

    Correction, it did work but I was hoping to use an image I have that is semi transparent. Would I still be able to use that image instead of the black color? Thanks for the help with the last post as well!

    So after playing around with your code I have it! `.entry-content,
    .entry-summary {
    background: url(“http:my image url”) repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
    }` Thank you again sir. I’m sure I’ll have a few more questions as I continue to tweak this site some more. I owe you a beer.

    Nice job man! Keep tweaking and learning 🙂
