Add class to image attachment link?

    Whenever the image uploader inserts an image into a post wrapped in a link to the original file, I’d like it also to add a class to the <a> tag. Anyone know how to do this?

    I feel certain someone knows how to do this; there are plugins that manage it, right? Can someone maybe direct me to someplace I can read about how to make a change like this?
