• Greetings all,

Just need some feedback and advice.

I have a client that wants to allow the pages to be categorized along side the posts. I found the code to accomplish this, very easy to do. So the Pages menu will show Categories and Tags. This are the same as the Post Categories and Tags (not a separate set, that can also be done, the client wants them to be the same set).

    My questions are:

    Is this a good idea?
    Can this cause any breakage?

    Thanks for any insight.

  • Do not do this. Very bad idea in terms of SEO. I can’t even think of a reason why your client would even want to do that – if content needs a category and/or tag, it’s best off as a post.

I fear it may play havoc with your site structure.

    Hi @davros20 ,

Many thanks. I am almost certain it will break the site. It is highly customized.

And thank for the SEO tip. That may be enough to change my clients mind.
