Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » Add Calculate shipping to checkout page

  • I recently set up the FedEx shipping module on one of my sites.

    The problem is that when a user proceeds to checkout without entering their zipcode on the cart page in the calculate shipping page it does not show the shipping options on the checkout page at all. Then when they click “Place order” it spits an error back at them saying invalid shipping option.

    I would like to add a button to the Checkout page that says calculate shipping but I do not know what needs to be done to do this. I would appreciate any assistance that can be provided with this!

    Your checkout should have inputs for the shipping address. The shipping rate is then calculated based on this and displayed in the ‘Your Order’ section of the checkout.

    Again, this problem only exists with the FedEx shipping options. We want to add a “Calculate Shipping” button on the checkout page that will make the call for customers who may not notice the Calculate Shipping options on the cart page.

    Anyone have any idea?

    Thanks in advance!

    I ended up adding the following code to the templates/checkout/review-order.php file to fix the problem!

    echo "<p>If you do not see shipping options listed please click this button: &nbsp; <button type=\"submit\" name=\"calc_shipping\" value=\"1\" class=\"button\">Calculate Shipping</button></p>";
