Add Another WYSIWYG Tab

    The WYSIWYG editor has Visual and HTML tabs.

    I would like another tab that shows a generated preview of a posts content. Obviously this would be without the current themes styling.

    What I want to do is process shortcodes and some other things for my WordPress CSV Importer plugin.

    Has this ever been done or possibly problematic?

    What WP core functions would aid in doing this if any?
