    I’m liking this plugin a lot but I have a problem with uploading multiple images. When first loaded the upload image area looks like this:

    Upload an Image
    Please select your image to upload as the single Featured Image for your post (Note you can add existing media images to your post content using the Add Media facility above)

    Choose File No file chosen Add another image

    If I click on Add another image the focus moves up to the top of page (as others have reported). I see you have responded to others saying that it’s probably a JQuery/js issue. When I inspect the “another image” link I see this (the anchor tags are changed to () for display here):

    (a href=”#” id=”usp_add-another” class=”usp-no-js”)Add another image(/a)

    and the “usp-no-js” class looks suspicious? Also if I look at Sources in wp-content/plugins there is nothing there from user-submitted-posts. Is that right?

    I am using the Elementor Hello theme but I have also tested with the 2020 theme and all plugins deactivated except for ups, with the same result. I would be grateful if you could point me in the right direction and I would be pleased to send you any other data you need.

    I should have mentioned that the “include js” setting is checked:

    Include JavaScript X Include required JavaScript files (recommended)

    It’s difficult to imagine what might be happening. The page/URL you provide just says “Maintenance” with no form anywhere. So I can’t check it out.

    I should mention that what you describe does not happen normally. Also as you have mentioned usually that sort of behavior is due to JavaScript errors on the page.

    I installed a fresh, second, wordpress and installed USP. Of course it then worked just fine so I’m pleased to confirm that you don’t have a problem! I’ll pursue finding what the actual issue is and let you know.

    I found this to be a very good plugin, just after a few days testing. A couple of suggestions that come to mind are:

    • A dashboard to support editing of previously submitted posts
    • The ability to choose classic or block editing

    Many thanks for your help.

    Glad you got it sorted.

    Thanks for the feedback. For editing posts there is no need to recreate the wheel. All submitted posts are handled by WordPress as regular posts. So that means editing submitted posts is done via the Edit Post screen, just like regular posts. The Edit Post screen uses Gutenberg by default, but you can use a plugin to use the Classic Editor instead.

    I’m now kicking myself for not doing this sooner. Because the USP page was not even loading the USP js files I tried simply re-installing USP. And now it looks and works just fine.

    However I’m still a little confused about classic vs block editing. To edit a submitted post you say “that means editing submitted posts is done via the Edit Post screen” but doesn’t that imply it has to be done on the back end and not the front end which is what we are trying to do? btw block mode editing a post on the backend works fine

    Going back to creating a post with USP, I have only been able to create a post with the classic editor and not the block editor. To do this I have to check “Enable RTE/Visual Editor for the Post Content field” and then I see the classic editor. If I leave this unchecked then I only have a textarea without the Add Media button.

    Am I missing something?

    Glad to help:

    1) “doesn’t that imply it has to be done on the back end and not the front end which is what we are trying to do?”

    USP does not provide front-editing at this time. Here is a post with more information.

    2) “Am I missing something?”

    I’m not sure what exactly you’re trying to do, but the post-submission form provides only two options for the Post Content field:

    * RTE/Visual Editor
    * Plain Text Editor

    As you mention there is a setting that controls which is displayed.

    So, what I’m seeing is exactly what it is supposed to be. Thanks for clarifying that Jeff
