add an image to post problem

Hello

This is driving me mad!!! I’m trying to add an image to a post and i think i’m using version 2.5 (not sure how i check that)

1. first i go into the post.
2. Then i click “add an image”
3. I select a pic from my C drive and click “upload”
4. The name of the picture is displayed with the word “show” next to it
5. I click “show” and nothing happens.
6. The picture is in my gallery, but nothing happens when i click show.

How do i add an image into the post

the pic is 100 pixels wide and 67 high
