Support » Plugin: MetaSlider » Add an image from the slider as featured image?

I’ve customized the css to use my slides as featured images in posts, but since it’s not officially a featured image, there is no thumbnail generated.

Is it possible to set the slider or one of the images as a featured image?

    hi @eblogner,

I’m not sure I understand 100% what you want to achieve. Can’t you just manually assign the featured image to be the same as the slideshow?

Otherwise maybe you could use set_post_thumbnail to programmatically but I don’t know of a quick way.

Hey @kbatdorf, thanks for the reply.

If I add a featured image, it adds it into the post automatically, so can’t add both the slider and the featured image since it displays it doubled then.

I think you’re on the right track with set_post_thumbnail. I’ll check it out!

Is this something specific to the theme? You might just want to remove the featured image from the single post page template. That way the featured image only shows up on the archive pages
