Hey… this plugin works great for me out of the box except one thing. I want this to be able to email all users in my site when new posts are generated.

Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a built in method of inputing those users. There is a “sync new users” but it’s not doing anything with my users, even though some are only a couple weeks old.

In any case, I need a method in which to input all users in to this so I can keep them updated. BTW… this is an internal company blog and is now public so all users must be updated.

Ideas or updates to the plug that can help here?

    @michamclain,

‘Sync new users’ will sync the new incoming WordPress users of your site.
To sync existing WordPress users, refer steps from here.

    Hey Icegram,

Thanks for the reply, but I still have a couple issues:

    1) Your plugin “Sync New Users” function doesn’t specifically say how new. Is that users in the last 5 days, 300 days, etc. Nothing is said anywhere.

    2) You could make this much simpler by added an option on that page to selectively “sync new users” or “sync all users”. This would be ideal.

    3) You method simply links to an import/export. While this is great, it doesn’t mention how to export all current users then import them. Exporting my list does me no good. I only have myself in there as a test. All 700+ other users are currently only WP users and not subscribers in this plugin. So, I would need to export all users to CSV, then import into your plug. Thoughts on what to use to accomplish this?

    4) Once I do #3, because of my point #1, I have no idea how frequently I should run the sync new users function. My goal is to always have all users be a subscriber in this case.

    Please advise on this. Thanks.

We agree it is not mentioned anywhere and have a made a note of updating the same in our docs.
Sync New Users will sync all the new incoming WP users in the Email Subscribers.

We have noted down the same.

Export WP users in a CSV file and import the same in Email Subscribers.

Once you click on Save in ‘Sync New Users’, you don’t have to re-run it everytime. It will work on it’s own once it is saved.

    Hope this helps you.

Hey and thanks for the replies. This makes sense on the auto sync, but again, nothing was said about it’s function so I didn’t know. However, the auto sync you mentioned isn’t working on my site. I have 560 users, 4 of which were added after I sync’d the users using CSV. Those additional 4 users were not auto added to the list even though I have the setting to do that turned on.

    Please advise.

With respect to issue that you are having, make sure

    • you are using latest version – v3.3.4
    • re-save sync settings in plugin and check the group that you have set for them
    • add a new WordPress user with role subscriber and check if it gets added in Email Subscribers list or not

Let us know if it works for you.
