I have my home page set up as a static page, but I would like to add just a few posts (the 3-5 most recent) to the home page, beneath the static content. I already have a posting page, and I don’t want to make my home page a posting page. I’ve tried “posts in a page” and “get posts” plug-ins, but the first one does nothing, and the second one only adds a list of posts.

From looking around online, I keep seeing where people mention add “loops” to the page, but I’m completely code-dumb, and all of those posts have been way over my head.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I just tested the “Posts in Page” plugin and it works fine. Did you follow directions correctly and added the shortcode on the page editor?

I apologize–I found the problem. I’m just getting my blog started, and I did some test posts and discovered the reason it wasn’t working is because it doesn’t pull sticky posts, and that was the only post I had. I did a couple regular test posts, and it worked beautifully. I even edited the template to my satisfaction!

Thank you so much for your excellent support. I will definitely give your theme a fantastic review. I have never come across any program or software with such excellent one-on-one support and quick response.
