Hi there,
I think finding a plugin will be your best bet.
If you want to write a plugin, searching/requesting on a forum like this http://stackoverflow.com/ might be helpful. There are some real smart people on there that might give you a quick answer 🙂

Hey, I found a plugin to use, but I have trouble to set it up properly.
It asks for some IDs etc that I need help with.
Here is a link to the screenshot of what I have to enter to configure it:

So could you please help on what I have to fill in?
Best regards,
Marius

Sorry I’m not familiar with the plugin and also this is the support forum for the free GeneratePress theme so that question should be directed to the plugin support forum for sure.
I had a quick look and that plugin hasn’t been updated in 2 years with only 800+ active installs. The reviews are few but all 5 stars though.
Maybe checking out this one? https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/ajax-load-more/

Thanks a lot for replying so fast, Leo. Appreciate your help a lot! 🙂
In order to set these plugins up, I do need information about the “Generate Press” Theme though.
Does it use Ajax?
What class are the blogposts in? (“.post” / “.postlist”…)
Container type is div?

GP should be compatible with all plugins that are made to work with themes so the Ajax one should be no problem.
Have you tried that one? It has excellent reviews.
Those generic selectors should work as well.

I have just tried it and was able to set it up on all pages except the blog page, since I configured my theme to have no static front page but have a front page that shows all blog posts.
There is no possibility to edit this exact page, so I am not able to put in the shortcode there.

Hmm the front page displays latest posts is not a theme specific setting so you might have to ask the plugin author how to implement their plugin on that page.
Or maybe search in their support forum to see if anyone else requested similar thing?
