[Resolved] Add a button/image with a link to the top of the theme

  • I need to add a Donate now button to my son’s school’s web site. I want it centered and at the top of the home page. I have an image for the button and the link to an external site set up. I do not know how to add it to the web site.

Depending on your theme and where you want it, you probably need to edit a php file. Can you post a link to your site and more specific information.

    This is the web site.

I want to add the Donate Now button, which I have as an image, at the top between the school logo and the text on the right hand of the page. The button needs to be linked to an external site.
    thx

You’d need to modify the header.php file and add that HTML code, and then also add CSS code to position it correctly. We always suggest that any theme file modifications be made in a child theme so that the changes are not lost when the theme is updated.

But unfortunately, it looks like you are using a commercial theme, and they are not supported on these forums. Perhaps the developer can help you:

Thanks. In the interim, I added it as a menu item, so it appears at near the top most of the page. I’ll look into the options you mentioned above for the longer term solution.
