# Ad Label conditional display

 * Is there a way to set the ad label so that it is only visible when an ad is present.
   The Ad label works fine and shows up exactly where I want, the problem is, it
   is still visible even there isn’t an ad to display.
 * Thanks!

 * Hi codeblue001,
 * thanks for reaching out.
 * Can you please be more specific about your use case, website and the settings
   you are using?
 * Usually, hiding [the ad label](https://wpadvancedads.com/manual/ad-label-how-to-set-advertisement-label/)
   is the awaited behavior for placements not showing ads.
 * Is this about ads getting blocked by an ad-blocker? Because showing alternative
   in that case would only be possible by using [the ad-blocker features](https://wpadvancedads.com/manual/ad-blockers/#Show_alternative_content_to_visitors_using_ad_block_software)
   from Advanced Ads Pro.
 * I’d also suggest [using fallback ads](https://wpadvancedads.com/how-to-create-a-fallback-ad/),
   so there is always at least an image ad to show.
 * Best regards,
    Henning

 * [@henningaa](https://wordpress.org/support/users/henningaa/) thanks for the feedback.
   I also thought by default the ad label should not be visible unless there was
   an ad. The label looks great when there is an ad, but when there are no ads,
   it is still visible.
 * I only did three things in advanced ads to get the label.
    1. I selected the “
   enabled” radio button in Advanced ads 2. I selected the “center” option for the
   position in Advanced ads 3. Added inline CSS:
 *     ```
       color: #aaa; float: left; font-size: 10px; letter-spacing: 1.5px; margin: -13px 0 0; text-align: center; text-transform: uppercase;
       width: 100%; padding-top: 8px;
       ```
 * I will explore the option of using a fallback ad.
 * Thanks!
 * Hi codeblue001,
 * thanks for the reply.
 * Can you please let me know about which type of ad and placement we are talking
   here? I still struggle re-creating your reported behavior.
 * Is it when there’s no ad assigned to the placement, or why is there no ad showing?
 * Best regards,
    Henning
 * Hi [@henningaa](https://wordpress.org/support/users/henningaa/) Sorry, I am just
   seeing your message. At the moment I have removed the labels, however, to answer
   your question. I am using Prebid, so I don’t always have an ad in the placement.
 * Thanks
 * Hi Codeblue001,
 * thanks for the feedback.
 * It is quite difficult for Advanced Ads to check if an ad space was filled or
   not after the ad code was injected and executed.
 * There is an example for developers to do this with [AdSense ads](https://wpadvancedads.com/manual/fallback-ad-for-empty-adsense-and-google-ad-manager-ads/).
   Maybe this helps to find a way to achieve your goal.
 * Please let me know if you need anything else.
 * Best regards,
    Henning
