Ad Group Display Option

    I am trying to have one ad group show up in a certain category all the time. Let’s say if a post is in a dog category, I want a dog ad to show up but if a post is in a cat category, I want a cat ad to show up. If a post is in a general category, I want any other ad to show but not a dog or cat ad.

    The problem is when I’m in a dog/cat category, the general ads will show up too. I thought if I set the weight of the dog/cat ads to 1 and the general ads to 2, the cat/dog ads will always display since I set them to only show in the dog/cat category. I noticed that it still rotates though all the ads in the ad group.

    How can I fix this? Am I setting up the weights wrong?

    Hi Rodney,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    As I understand your setup, you have an ad group containing multiple ads with different display conditions.

    I would create a group with the ordered ad type and ensure that all ads have a higher ad weight than your fallback ad. This, in turn, should have no display conditions to ensure that it will be displayed in any case, even if the ads with the higher ad weight cannot be displayed due to their display conditions.
