I found Activity Plus plugin has conflict with Hierarchy plugin. When I post photos with Activity Plus plugin, there are often failures happened. After research, I found the reason:
When Activity Plus post the photos to the current group, browser will locate to the root group. If current user doesn't has the permission for the root group, the photo post is failed.
I tried to solve the bug, but I don't know why and how Activity Plus locate the root group. I find below code trigger the location behavior:
    In line 1204 of fileuploader.js:
Is there anyone tell me why it happened?

  2. Hello there @yzqiang,
Unfortunately I'm not the plugin developer so I can't really answer that question. However, I spoke to him a few days ago and know for a fact that he has already started rewriting it and an update is coming soon.
Unfortunately I don't have an ETA on this, but hopefully it will be soon enough and will probably solve some of the issues you 're facing.

I am so happy to hear about the news. I think Activity Plus is such a perfect plugin. But if more features can be added, it will be better. It's my dream for long time.
Thanks for telling me the news.

Could you tell me the email address of the developer?
I have many ideas to share with him.
My email is [ redacted, support is offered via the forum and not email ]

  5. I'm afraid that I can't share anyone's contact information, I hope you understand!

P.S. I would also advise you to edit your previous post and remove your email address, it's not allowed in these forums.
You can edit it if you want like this: user AT domain DOT com.

Don't worry about it, I've already redacted the e-mail. Posted e-mail addresses give me a rash; it'a "thing" for me...

It's really discouraged to ask for support off of the forum (posting e-mail addresses) or use the forum as a means to contact people.

If there is something that needs discussing privately then you can visit the plugin author's page and work out how to contact them without using the forums.
