Activity Plus – opening links and sidebar issue

I’m using this plugin which seems handy but there are two issues. If you add a link it automatically takes one to an external page (parent window) – it would be better if this were handled in a new window (_blank).

2. If you had a YouTube url then the video cropped in the widget sidebar Site Wide Activity . Any ideas on these?
