Support » Plugin: s2Member Framework (Member Roles, Capabilities, Membership, PayPal Members) » Activity of one member assigned to another – is this possibly a hacker?

  • I have a Q&A plugin that seems to be working well with s2member, until thi morning. Users are required to log in (they can set up free user account) to post questions. But this morning a new question came through and the user was my own user account (the admin user). I’ve scanned & don’t see signs of being hacked, and of course changed my password – but have no idea how this is possible. I thought I’d ask in the forum, just in case someone else has experience with activities of one user being attached to another user. I’m not entirely sure this question even makes sense – I’m on a family vacation & have just a few minutes online, so I’m rushing to figure things out quickly.

  • Are you using a caching plugin? If so, it could have caused something to be cached when you were using it, and then served it to this user, who is then identified as you.

You shouldn’t be caching anything for logged-in users.
