active theme not showing in brower

    I am very new to this. Just set up second site on localhost with wamp (different DB). Seem to access both dashboards fine. Downloaded/activated new theme, “Unite”, successfully but all I get is the “Hello World” site. (It does show my new website name at the top of the page)??? In dashboard/appearance/themes and click ‘customize’ on the theme the left panel show the Unite theme as active but the Hello World site is showing. I get the same results with two different downloaded themes, one of which I used for the first site. The default sites that came with WordPress work fine if I activate them. I am vert comfused!

    ‘Hello World’ is the default post coming with a new install.

    also, newly installed themes hardly ever show like their preview image – you might need to make customizations for that.

    do you see different layouts with your different themes?

    I just tried to to work on the “Hello World” layout and it does change to the theme contents I downloaded for the first couple of items. To answer your question, when I active the themes that come with WordPress I do see each front page as they appear in the themes page preview image. Just not the added themes I download. I tried two and both are the same.
