 * thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
 * Using HTML code for a link and the `mailto:` protocol is the correct solution
   here. You could even automate this: Just install and use the TablePress Extension
   from [https://tablepress.org/extensions/automatic-url-conversion/](https://tablepress.org/extensions/automatic-url-conversion/)
   for this.
