hi @mevo
Sorry to hear that you encounter some errors with our plugin.
Looks like you have an incompatible plugin.
Can you share with us your system report available from the menu Matomo Analytics > Diagnostics?
Kind regards
Mat

Hi, thank you for your quick answer. I doubt there will be anything really interesting in the report (I had a look, nothing seems out of the ordinary). Ideally, if you could try to install Matomo and Adshares on a fresh WordPress install, you should encounter the same problem. From there, you could see if something is doable on your side, or if it may be totally the “other plugin’s fault” (the error is on yours in the end, thought).
I will try to do a fresh install with only these 2 plugins on a different server to confirm the problem is reproducible (and it isn’t something specific to my situation). I’ll confirm this to you quickly (I should have done this first!). In fact, I did, but on the same server…
No problem to share the report with you if it may have a use. Is there just a way I can send it to you without having to post it publicly?
Thanks.

You would really just have to install the adshares plugin (publicly available on wordpress.org plugin base) on a current install with matomo. You would immediately see if the problem arise or not. It doesn’t really “break” anything. Everything gets back in order when you uninstall Adshares (pr just deactivate it)
Hi @mevo
the system report is anonymized. but if you are still concerned by the privacy, you can email it to wordpress@matomo.org.
Kind regards

Hi @mevo
I can reproduce the problem.
The problem is this plugin embed an old version of a component which is incompatible with matomo.
If you still want to use this plugin, the only option you have is to migrate to matomo on premise or matomo on cloud.
Kind regards
Mat

Hi,

Oh, right. I didn’t see that (I looked more at the table showing the info and not enough at the actual generated report). But I don’t think it will be of any use as you already answered the question. Thank you.

Ok, great. Thanks for your help.
Or i could maybe try to make the developers of this plugin update it. Just a last question to help me with this: Could you please give me any information about which “component” they’re using an old version of? So that I can indicate to them where and what causes the problem.
Thank you again
Kind regards

Hi @mevo
I don’t need anymore the system report. thanks.
the old component is twig.
Kind regards
