# Activation error (syntax error)

 * I’ve installed minutes ago the plugin and just tried to activate. The error:
 * `Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/lagoa/public_html/
   wp-content/plugins/em-beer-manager/includes/admin/embm-admin-untappd.php on line
   67`

 * Hi Edu,
 * So sorry to hear you’re having problems with the plugin! The issue appears to
   be related to the fact that the server you have WordPress installed on is using
   a very old version of PHP (older than version 5.3). If that’s something you’re
   able to change, and you can use a PHP version that’s 5.3 or higher, than it should
   fix the issue. If not, I’ll have the fix pushed out as soon I can – sometime 
   this week.

 * You’re right. My PHP version is 5.2.17 =/
 * I’ve managed this editing my .htaccess and enabling the 5.5.38 version available
   on my server.
