Activation causes white screen of death

    I’m using PHP 5.3.1 on my test site, and when I activate this theme it breaks my site. It gets
    PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in C:\Data\xampplite\htdocs\testsite\wp-content\themes\corporate-prime\inc\corporate-prime-variables.php on line 24

    Looking at that line, I see
    'slider_image_one' => ($slide_one_id)?wp_get_attachment_image_src(get_post_thumbnail_id($slide_one_id), 'full')[0]:get_template_directory_uri() . '/images/slider1.jpg',
