Activation Breadcrumbs

Hallo everybody!!
I hope someone can reply to my question.
I tried to activate the Breadcrumbs (using Breadcrumbs navtx and even yoast breadcrumbs)inserting the specific code in header.php and it works, but the problem is that the breadcrumbs appear even in the presentation page, with a very badly visual effect. Is it possible to remove the breadcrumbs from the presentation page?
Or there is another better way to put the breadcrumbs on the pages instead to use these plugins?
