 * We have just moved our website from one host to another. Most everything works
   correctly except activating new plugins. I was going to work with Gallery2 embedded
   but when I activated the plugin it crashed my entire site. No pages are viewable
   until you rename the folder that plugin is installed to. Is this permissions
   or something else going wonky?

 * Well, your plugins folder should be permitted at 755; any folders inside it ditto;
   and files inside it and the other folders at 644.
 * If they are, then unless your new host setup is way different from how mine runs,
   it’s not the permissions.

 * that is how are permissions are set up as well. Our TinyMCE folder got deleted
   and reuploaded before we tried activating plugins. Would have caused any stress
   on WordPress?
 * also Gallery embedded activated fine the first time we tried it, but when we
   tried setting up the options it gave some errors during the autoconfigure and
   reset was pressed. This was when the first crash occured.

 * No clue, never used the rte. If this were me, I’d delete everything but the theme
   folder and reupload the whole shebang. You might have to run install again….
 * You DO have a current database backup, right?
