on a day of testing various knowledgebase plugins – this plugin gained attention by breaking the site upon activation — all pages come back ‘not found’. deactivate and back to normal.

I’m not going to troubleshoot, but just wanted to advise you

  • Hi,

Would you please be so kind to tell me which plugin version you used and which theme you tested it with so I can try replicating the issue?

    Thanks

I appreciate your prompt response and desire to get to the problem – however I’m not able to assist much in troubleshooting

this is a WordPress MULTISITE network, however activated on primary site only

installed basepress from repository today on beaver builder theme / beaver builder plugin, lots of other plugins activated

other knowledgebase plugins installed before basepress – I deactivated and uninstalled them before testing basepress

in trying to fix my issue of pages not being found I cleared cache and saved settings > permalinks

I uninstalled basepress prior to writing first post here. before responding I thought I better give it another try, reinstalled, activated – same problem, page navigation broken – no pages found. deactivate back to normal

    regards

    Hi,

Thanks for explaining all you could. Very appreciated!
One last thing if I may ask:

    1. What page navigation do you refer to exactly?

I have just installed a fresh WordPress with BasePress from the repository so to use the same version and I could not see any issue. Maybe there is a conflict with the theme or other plugins.

    2. if you could check your server logs for any error that could help a lot but obviously I understand that you may not be willing to get that far!

In any case thanks again for reporting!

    1) any nav — going to any page using menus or from page editor, or manual URL — all go page not found with plugin activated

very possible to be a conflict with plugin but troubleshooting too much to deal with

    2) I looked at basic WP error log in the root directory and nothing was there – didn’t generate any errors there at all, and the server cpanel error log doesn’t look like anything generated over the time period

    regards

    Hi,

    Thanks a lot!
Definitely a conflict somewhere as no one else reported it.
I’ll see if the Beaver team can lend me a copy of their theme for testing…

Thanks again and have a nice day.

To anyone interested I have tested BasePress with Beaver Builder theme and plugin (Thanks to Beaver Builder team for that) and no issues where found.

Definitely some other plugin or custom code is conflicting.

    Thanks

thanks for following up – the site is jammed with plugins so no surprise it is another case of ‘user error’ which happens to be my middle name
