Activating Pagination in Post Grid/Carousel causes JSON error

    Hi,

    When I add a Post Grid/Carousel everything is okay, but when I switch on the Pagination and save the page I get this message “Updating failed. Error message: The response is not a valid JSON response.” (translated from Dutch)

    Editing the page again using the block editor isn’t working anymore “The site is experiencing technical problems. Check the admin e-mail inbox of your website for instructions.”

    Only way to use the block editor again is by deleting the page and recreate it again.

    Possible to fix?

    Hey,
    I just tested this and had no issue. Is pagination working on other areas of your site? Have you tried contacting your host to see if they have any insight?

    Hi Hannah,

    Pagination is working on other areas.
    I run my own server and checked apache error log to see if there is something in it. But nothing which has to do with this issue unfortunately.
    I will disable other plugins tomorrow and change to a default theme to check if that could cause the problem.

    Hi,

    It’s theme related… When I switch to Twenty Nineteen pagination can be set without any problems.
    Can’t find out was the conflict is between the theme (nexusthemes) and the plugin…

    Yes, several times about other issues… But they don’t give any support anymore because they want all customers to switch to their hosted solution…

    They use their own mechanism for creating pages (all with custom fields) Thats the reason why I’m recreating all pages again and use your plugin for it and also the gutenberg blocks.

    Hmm I’m not sure what to tell you. It’s a bummer the theme is not giving support as it does seem like the issue is falling on them. Is their theme updated and compatible with the latest version of WordPress?
