Activating JetPack breaks my website with blank, white screen

  • When activating and linking the WordPress.com account to my JetPack plugin, my client’s website (fulaonline.com) breaks immediately and displays a smiley face and white screen.

I’ve tried downgrading the jetpack plugin but it is still not working.

The site was working fine until I activated JetPack.

What do I do to allow the website to run with JetPack? I can disable it for now and the site will run fine.

Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Switch back to Twenty Twelve theme and try installing Jetpack.

Wow. That worked. Thank you very much. I’ll remember this for future client installs.

    Appreciate the help!

Now that I enabled the stats, the site crashed again. Looks like the fix didn’t work.

You may delete the plugin and reinstall it with a freshly downloaded copy. Try uploading via FTP or c-panel. Do all your settings, installing plugins, etc while the on default theme.
